Arsenal will be expected to dispatch Bolton with the same ease with which they took Blackburn apart.
It wasn't so far back that Arsenal would routinely land up at Bolton only to be hussled and muscled out of their stride, concede a goal or two on corners and freekicks and find it unable to get into their rhythm.
How things have changed. Bolton just haven't been the same team since Sam Allardyce left. "Little Sam" or Sammy Lee didn't prove to be a success and Gary Megson has helped them to stay up in the premiership. But they are no longer scary for the gunners.
Everything points to a routine victory for the London club - you know the kind where Arsenal are 3-0 up in the first 20 minutes and spend the rest of the game knocking the ball about.
Arsenal at their best at the start of the season - and this season has been better than normal. With a match-fit Van Persie, a fast-maturing Walcott and a committed Adebayor, the force is clearly with Arsenal.
Walcott in particular will be the focus of a lot of attention as it's his speed that has caused defenders the most trouble, and allowed Van Persie and Adebayor space and opportunities. Walcott will be playing his fifth game in 2 weeks - for club and country. ?It's been a very tough few days with a lot of travelling - Andorra (in Barcelona), Croatia, Blackburn, Kiev and now Bolton,? he said. ?But it's been really good because I just want to play, that's the main thing.?
?(The attention) has touched my family more than me,? he said. ?We had a few paparazzi outside our house for a long time but I've just got away from it all by concentrating on my football, that's all I can do.
?I don't want to get ahead of myself. I'm playing with more confidence, I just love playing for this club and for my country.?
?I got kicked a few times but I got up and got on with it,? Walcott said. ?You have to keep going to the last minute and that's what I did. Thankfully it paid off when we scored.?
Bolton for their part will have to rely on Kevin Davis' physical presence - their frontline has been muted since Anelka was sold to Chelsea. Elmander has had a good start but will find things tough against a fast and disciplined Arsenal defence.
Injury update: recent signing Mikael Silvestre remains out with a muscular problem but there were no fresh injury worries from the midweek Champions League trip to Kiev.
Arsenal will again be without midfielder Samir Nasri (knee) for the trip to Bolton. Tomas Rosicky (hamstring), Abou Diaby (thigh), Amaury Bischoff (groin) and striker Eduardo (leg) all remain in recovery.
For Bolton, Matt Taylor has a broken toe and defender Gary Cahill is out on a two-match suspension.
